Hello!

I am working on a scripture index that requires right alignment of locators. I know how to do that. How can I remove the dots between the sub and the locator, either in SKY or in the rtf? Thank you for any advice!

Warmly,
Gina

Gina, I have a sales catalog that I index annually which uses this format. According to the SKY manual, the dotted leaders appear by default, so you'll have to remove them in Word. To do that, go into the Paragraph settings (via the pop-out arrow at the bottom right of the Paragraph section of the ribbon). Click on the Tabs setting at the bottom of the dialog box and then change the leader from dotted (option #2) to none (option #1).

I've only had this problem once before but it's really helpful to save for future use! Thanks to you both for asking and answering!

Actually, I think I misspoke. To get it to change the leaders for all the affected entries, you may have to access the Tabs settings through the Styles dialog rather than the Paragraph dialog.

Have your cursor on one of the entries in question and then click on the Styles pop-out in the Word ribbon. It will show the name of the particular style for that type of entry (probably "Sub1"). Click on the arrow at the right of the style name and select the option to Modify. Another dialog box will pop open and then you can get to Tabs from the Format button at the bottom left.
