Making an exception for italic xref

I can’t even figure out where to look for this … and I really need to sleep.

Some xrefs are the titles of a book, so the See or See also should be roman in those cases. Is there a way to enter those xrefs to override the default setting?

Options > Index >  Cross-references > Targets > "If target is formatted, remove cross-reference formatting."

Thanks to Deborah and Michael for showing me where that setting is. This index is going out to the client now. If I look at it anymore, I'll find something else wrong with it!
