Hello, again, everyone -
All of a sudden I've got a new problem. I finished an index, resorted it, and clicked generate. I got the usual phase 1-2-3 at the bottom of the screen, but Word didn't come up with the generated index. First I closed Sky, reopened, and tried again. Nothing. I tried clicking the 'generate' icon, tried shift+F11, and tried clicking 'generate' under the index tab. I tried all four things with Word open, then with it closed. Nothing. After my first try, the phase 1-2-3 didn't build again.
I've thought of deleting Sky and re-installing it, but would I lose my current index, since I can't generate it?
Thanks in advance,
Cathy

Hi Cathy,

Try "Edit/Print" and that should do it.

Warmly,
Gina

Your index files aren't deleted when you reinstall SKY -- you're safe there.
But before doing that, when something stupid like this starts to happen and I go through all the tricks you have, the next thing I do is reboot since clearly something is scrambled.
I never know whether restarting or a complete shut down and starting it up again are best so I can't advise you there.
Edit>Print is a great idea. Click on Index>Edit/Print or Shift+F12. Just generating is Index>Generate or Shift+F11.

Thanks, Gina, but my version doesn't have edit/print.

Huh. I'd never had occasion to use shift+F12, just shift+F11. So I tried F12, and darned if it didn't open the index in Word. Thanks!
