If I want to create a group for a specfic locator, how can I limit the search? For example, I have a multi-part locator such as 2024;XLIX:1:1.  If I use Find, it gives me a group with
2024;XLIX:1:1
2024;XLIX:1:10
2024;XLIX:1:12
2024;XLIX:1:15

How can I limit it so it only shows page 1? I've tried clicking on Whole Word, using "and not" with a wildcard at the end of the second find field. I thought I had done this before, but haven't used SKY in a while.

Thanks for any help,
Nan

To Group on Locators, use Ctrl + Alt + O and fill in the parameters, but honestly...? If I need 2024;XLIX:1:12 then I use Group on Text Ctrl+Alt+G and either paste in or type in that complex locator. Works wonderfully!

Yes, I've been using Group on Text, but I don't want ALL the locators ending in "1" -- I only want page 1, not 10, 12, etc.

This may be a duplicate -- I don't see my reply.

Thanks, Deborah,

I have been using the Group on Text function, but I don't want to see ALL references that end in "1", e.g., 2024, XLIX:1:12.  2024, XLIX:1:15, etc. I want to limit the search only to  2024, XLIX:1:1.

Thanks.

Sorry, Nan -- I hadn't tested that. You really need to use Group on Locator (Ctrl+Alt+O)
Page number 1 goes in top box
Second box is 2024 (Section 1 or Volume)
Third box is XLIX (Section 2 or Chapter)
Fourth box is 1 (Section 3)
I just tried that and it definitely works.
Sections 1, 2, and 3 you defined in Options>Index>Volumes, Chapters, Sections
Volumes and Chapters are really just Section 1 and 2 in that table.
I was thinking I'd maybe need to go the cop-out route -- putting it in page order and selecting with my mouse, but this complex Group on Locator works.
