Try this. In the Volumes/Chapter/Sections options dialogue, choose Sections (not Volumes), then the "1" tab. (You'll see it's still called Volume, this dialogue just has more options.)

Input Delimiter: . [period]

Output Delimiter: .P [period followed by capital P]

New Section Separator: , [comma followed by a space]

Prefix: C

Suffix: [blank]

And make sure that the Enabled checkbox has a tick in it.

In the Page column type 1.34-36. The Index Pane will show C1.P34-C1.P36. Also, you'll notice that two-digit chapter numbers will sort correctly, i.e. C10 after C9. Plus you can save time by exploiting the Add Volume Number feature.

Hello

Just doing an OUP paragraph IDs text which I have done successfully in the past but cannot find my template. The above instructions seem to work perfectly except for one thing. 

When I input 10, wishing for C10 as a whole, it comes out as C10.P as it is expecting a paragraph number. Is it a choice between having P automatically shown or not?
