Hi everyone,

I am trying to compile the cocktails sample application onto the new
iphone software update (iOS 4.0) When I open the project, the base
SDK defaults to "Simulator 3.2" so I've gone into my project settings
and changed it to "iPhone Device 4.0"

However, when I try to build and run, I almost immediately get the
following error:

No architectures to compile for (ONLY_ACTIVE_ARCH=YES, active
arch=armv6, VALID_ARCHS=i386 ppc ppc64 ppc7400 ppc970 x86_64).

I noticed from some previous posts that other people seem to be having
trouble with building their project on an iOS 4.0 device, and was just
wondering if maybe my problem was related somehow, or if I am just
doing something wrong.

The technology here looks amazing from the videos I've watched, I
would just like to see it for myself on an actual device before I try
anything with it.

Thanks again for your help

- Steve

Local Faves 1.1.2 is now available for download. Amongst other minor
fixes, it solves the duplicate symbol issue encountered when building
universal binaries with XCode 3.2.3 and above. The Local Faves
framework and the Cocktails sample app should now build without
issues.

Hello,

What was done to remove the duplicate symbol error. I am using local
faves (1.1.2) and other libraries and the other libraries are causing
issues and I would like to implement the solution that you have
implemented.

Regards,
Mark.

Hi Mark,

The latest version of LF includes a script as part of the build phase to strip out duplicate symbols caused by a bug in XCode's linker. Can you post the exact problem you're having?
Also, please try the Cocktails demo that ships with the latest LF and see if that compiles/runs for you.
