Test Activity The Test Activity context menu option part of the Designer panel is used for running a test on the currently selected activity. When clicked, the Locals panel opens displaying the variables and arguments in scope. Test Activity can be...
While all the Activity objects run asynchronously, they do not execute on separate threads, so each successive activity only executes when the previously scheduled activity completes or goes idle. If none of the child activities of this activity go idle, this activity execute in the same way that a Sequence activity does.
Check with attached file - first parallel has no asyncs (Message boxes used as blocker examples), second parallel has asyncs (delays of 1ms). Observe that branches switch when they encounter an async activity (clearly visible when running in debug and stepping).

I have a similar habit of minimizing containers unless necessary. As a result, my wait for download was always skipping the (click button)activity mentioned in the trigger activity to download section, causing the fileinfo output parameter to be nothing.
What is best way to amend/update a previously created custom Activity?
I mean lets say we created a custom activity. published it and used in UI path project but in future if need anything changing or more logic need adding then is it a case of make change publish the package again and remove existing activity from UIpath project and re add the new one.
UiPath works with versions for each of its activities, so if you create an activity it will initially have version 1.0.0, if you change that activity, you will need to change the version to 1.0.1 (Example).
Currently I used only the UiPath Extension for visual studio, where it allows me to visually create my activity, create variables, apply their types and even allow me to create an Icon for my activity.
I am automating a process in IE and working with a web application. Certain times the click activity takes a long time to execute (it feels like it waits for the activity to timeout and then performs the activity) and sometimes it works like a charm. There is no exceptions thrown it just waits a long time before the click is performed.
It is the main terminal activity and represents a connection to a terminal server. It acts as a container for all other terminal activities. By default, after activity execution, the terminal connection is closed.
Waits the specified amount of time (TimeoutMS, in milliseconds) until the screen contains the provided text. It is very similar to Wait Field Text activity, except it searches the entire screen instead of being limited to a specific field.
I'm creating a set of custom activities that perform simple actions that aren't found in UiPath's core activity set. I'm planning on extending these activities to include some of my own image processing and Machine Learning algorithms.
I want to circulate this activity, so I really need to have it look much better than this! I have tried looking at sites that do WorkFlow Foundation activity designs, but each time I successfully compile, package and install my project it looks the same as above. I would like my activity to reflect the xaml design below:
I wanted to create a variation of the log activity. If I copy the properties from the UiPath "Log Message" activity, and then add their LogDesigner class as attribute to my class, then I get the same look and feel of my custom activity as UiPath has on their native version.
In a UiPath automation, I am trying to get the contents from a report based on summary data from all sheets in a specific folder. I set up the scope and added the Get Report activity with the report ID from the target report. When I run the activity to test it it returns an error:
UiPath is also unveiling today packaged automation templates and activity frameworks. UiPath provides solutions that accelerate Enterprise RPA by more than 50 percent to address risk and fraud issues, and ensure compliance to regulations including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Know-Your-Customer (KYC) financial services requirements and Customer Contact Center Automation.
UiPath robots can collect data from variety of enterprise applications and upload to UiPath data service storage. The transactions are then sent to SageMaker for identifying fraudulent activity. Analysts only have to review the transactions that have a high probability of fraud. This reduces manual effort and improves the quality of review.
