Here is a brief set of examples and usage notes, offered here to illustrate the possibilities for selective batch downloading from the MSC Datamart open data server. Please refer to the official wget manual for detailed usage. Examples shown here were tested under Linux and the Windows XP command line.

I am trying to download Sentinel-2 data from Linux with wget command. I have a list of many UUIDs (one example is shown) and am developing a script to download many tiles. I am following instructions that I found here: =SciHubUserGuide.8BatchScripting
I am using this syntax, (with my username and password in place of XXs)

download wget wildcard

Does anyone know my mistake? I have tired various combinations of forward/back slashes before the $value. What is the logic of $value? Should i set that independently prior to executing wget? If i omit $value it complains that there is no url.

NOTE: Depending on the programming language used for scripting, the dollar ($) character might be interpreted as a wildcard character and not as a string value. The examples in this page are in Unix Shell and the backslash (\) needs to be used as escape character for the dollar ($) character.

As time progresses some of my VPS machines are starting to show their age running CentOS 5. As CentOS is based on Redhat, the yum repositories often contain older versions of binaries with bugs that have been fixed in newer version. I recently ran into this with wget when trying to download the latest WordPress zip file.

But if i try to take the wildcard cert and put into the box and hit save, nothing happens. That is why i am asking if i am using the rights certs. Because as far as i understand he uses both time the wildcard cert. First time to merge it with the key in the java program and second time when he tries to validate it in the certificates screen.

I did everything from step 1 to step 5. At that point, connecting to admin console presented the wildcard certificate to me and I verified that the browser validated it. There were no other changes via the admin console to support it.

When an FQDN object is committed to the system, the management plane sends out periodic DNS queries to populate this object with IP addresses mapped from the DNS reply. These mapped IP addresses are then be pushed down to the dataplane, where they're used inside the object in the security policy. On the dataplane, this object includes only the IP addresses it receives from the management plane, but no domain information. Each FQDN object on the dataplane is limited to a maximum of 10 IP addresses. No actual URL lookups are performed, which is why a wildcard cannot be used.

Now we can register the domain. In the example below I am generating a wildcard cert for this blog. (Note, you have to escape the asterisk or put the domain in quotes like I have to stop bash trying to process it:-

New clients emerged that added their own HTTP implementations without
linking libwww. In January 1996, Hrvoje Niksic released
geturl, the predecessor of what is now wget. A month later,
geturl, added support for http_proxy in v1.1.
In May 1996, geturl v1.3 added support for no_proxy. Just as with
libwww, geturl only supported the lowercase form.

However, if there is a leading . in the no_proxy setting, the
behavior varies. For example, curl and wget behave
differently. curl will always strip the leading . and match against
a domain suffix. This call bypasses the proxy:

OpenSSL may not like the fact that your hostname has only two labels and the first label is a wildcard. Typically a hostname has a TLD, domain, and additional labels, e.g. kafka-1.kafka.internal for *.kafka.internal. What is the output of

Each file in the S3 bucket can only be accessed using HTTP (i.e., no ftp or scp ). You can obtain a URL for each desired file and then download it using an HTTP client such as a web browser, wget, or curl. Each file can only be accessed using its literal name - wildcards (i.e. "*") will not work.

Now, generalize the rule map_reads by replacing the concrete sample nameA with a wildcard sample in input and output file the rulemap_reads. This way, Snakemake can apply the rule to map any of the threeavailable samples to the reference genome.

Now, generalize the rule bwa by replacing the concrete sample nameA with a wildcard sample in input and output file the rulebwa. This way, Snakemake can apply the rule to map any of the threeavailable samples to the reference genome.
