Bruce Wayne and Vicki Vale are at the circus watching The Flying Graysons, an acrobat family consisting of 12-year-old Dick Grayson and his parents. When Dick's parents are shot to death by a hit man, Dick is escorted from the scene by several cops of the Gotham City Police Department in a threatening manner. Batman swiftly subdues the killer, Jocko-Boy Vanzetti and then rescues Dick from the police, damaging both a police cruiser and the car which Vicki and Alfred Pennyworth are in, injuring Vicki in the process. The stern Batman tells Dick that he has been "drafted into a war", and that he will learn much about fighting crime. Batman brings Dick to the Batcave and leaves him there to his own devices, telling him upon leaving that when hungry, Dick may eat the rats and bats in the cave.
Iann Robinson, writing for CraveOnline, wrote an essay critical of All Star Batman & Robin, calling it "a comic series that just spirals deeper and deeper into the abyss of unreadable. I understand Miller's need to re-invent, but this is just badly done and in poor taste". Robinson commented that "the art by Jim Lee is first rate [and] really wonderful to look at, [but] Frank Miller has stripped Batman of all of his dignity, class, and honor. This isn't the Dark Knight; this is Dirty Harry in a cowl. The worst part is that this is exactly what Batman isn't about. In one fell swoop, Miller has erased all the good he did for Batman with The Dark Knight Returns and Batman: Year One. All of that is just gone".[18]
Luckily, Monster World IV is just awesome and it's my personal favourite of the classic Wonder Boy games. What makes it so awesome is the sense of exploration and additional moves that allow you to do things like bounce on enemies' heads with a down-thrust attack. Plus, Asha is a wonderful new protagonist and it's an absolute blast to play so it makes you wonder why it never left Japan back in the day. If you enjoy it as much as I do then definitely check out the remake which I think is one of the most underrated games of all time.

@wazlon Genesis is much better and better ost. I remember wonderboy in monsterland 3 from Genesis because it has beautiful graphics and OST that you will remember. The previous Sega Master version was of course limited. You're better off with Genesis eventually. Maybe for the hardcore collector it's a must have
Waiting for his execution, Shion is kept in a cage guarded by several hungry dinos. Fleshripper wonders how they'll divide him to eat, but Bonegrinder insists that there isn't enough on him to go round, so dice need to be thrown - winner takes all. Gutsucker is made to guard the prisoner as they go for the dice. That night, a hooded figure creeps up on the cage and Shion is less than impressed, until he reveals himself to be Wordsmith and unlocks the cage! Unfortunately, Shion's earlier rage has awoken Gutsucker and the guard chases the terrified poet. Wordsmith tries his best to defend himself but the hungry dino proves too strong. Shion comes to the rescue with Wordsmith's salvaged spear, knocking the foe out. The pair journey into the Dinosaur King's chamber, where the monarch is asleep and the Lukout statue is waiting. While Wordsmith uses a Stone to Flesh wand on Lukout, reviving him, Shion uses a Potion of Ignorance to confuse the King. Unfortunately, the commotion caused by a newly-revived Lukout wakes the enemy.
