Dear Rachel,

Well, i got a fansy Chinse name, 毓琇..haha. Malaysian friend call me
Siew Fong and my china friends/new friends call me this fancy chinese
name!

There are many different combinations and possibilities, may be we
start with something then go down to more details planning

-2days in Harbin include the Snow and Ice Sculptures. normally start
from 25 Dec to Feb.
-1days in Ski resort
-1 day Mt. Changbaishan in Jili and hot spring
-1day in Jilin - mostly to see the China's natural wonders, the
frosted willows. Normally in Jan and very much depends on luck and the
weather.

The above may take 6 days or 7 days depends on the mode of travelling.
Rough estimation may be able to make it to around 1000RM for
accomodation and 10 seaters van with driver.

If you think the above trip is suitable for Malaysia's market then let
me know, will do the detail itenery, accomodation,
transportation/train, find out the ticket price for entraces, and may
be also find some service to hire winter jacket for the whole journy
(its extremely cold about -28 when i was there last Chinese New Year,
need special boots and good down jackets).

Regards
Yu Siew

Hi Yu Siew,

Forwarded one of the itinerary organized by Apple Vacation for your reference/comparison.  Well, this is the commercial tour and I wondering can we do some of the activities or program which is ‘unique’ and ‘different’?!  Of course Yongo Travel one of the attractive is “NO shopping tour” and as you see our motto for Yongo is “Near or Far, We go further”… Before we can push out the itinerary, I have to ensure what is our ‘selling points’.

Thanks again for your quick response.

Cheers

Rachel

Hi Yu Siew,

Thanks your effort for organizing Harbin Trip.

Well, We do all the option you had mentioned and it depends on the
situation. In this case, I personally think that the best way to do is,

1st- plan the itinerary (since you had been there and know what is the
'best' for the travelers) (you also can get few local travel agent to quote
and from there you know what is the best price they offered, itinerary as
ref etc).
2nd - Do some survey/research on hotel and get the quotation (if more
people, the bargain power is more)
3rd - To get cheaper transportation is thru those driver who owned his
transport; get the charges for 15 seater, 22 seaters, 33 seaters and so
on...
4th - Get Freelancer Guide or you yourself if you have confidence to do it.
Normally English speaking guide is more higher than Chinese speaking and
they will charge higher if non shopping tour.

The most important to act now is come out the itinerary 1st, and then buses
& hotel rate. I will check the flight details from my side.

Thanks again and we can discuss from time to time.

Cheers
Rachel

Rachel

I have done some research on the harbin trip. as this is my first
time in organising such trip i would like to get some advises from you
how to proceed

i can draw up the intenary, of course with no shopping (because i hate
that too!) but i would like to know how yongo normally proceed with
such arrangement like

1. cooperate with a registered tour operator with tour guide, give
them the itenary and work with them on getting accomodation and
bus/van
2. engage independent operator example those private MPV driver cum
tour guide with accomodation arranged too.
3. arrange the accomodation ourself, engage just a driver.

I guess option 3 will be the cheapest and option 1 being the safest as
it will have the standard tour operator's license/insurance/etc

let me know so we can see how to proceed to next step

regards
yu siew

which option normally yongo does
