Was reading http://www.readwriteweb.com/archives/nyt_times_newswire_api.php about access to new NY Times articles as soon as they appear together with full metadata and wondering if that could be converted to SAC forwarding endpoint.

But we have our own instantaneous news, don’t we: VOEvent. What about a client that receives voevent notifications and stores them in RDF format. Might make for a good triplestore that people might add to their forwarding.

Or could just put rdb2rdf interface on an existing voevent db I guess.

I think so. I think that Matthew Graham is working on making VOEvent
information available as RDFa within web/wiki pages describing events,
so he might have a SPARQL endpoint already (we can ask him next
week). Also, the VOEvent people are interested in developing a SKOS
vocabuary to cover VOEvent ideas, so there's the link in to semantic
technologies there.

All the best,

Norman
