SKT Revelation Second Print Run: Requesting Your Input

Hello! This is the "SKT Waitlist" Google Groups that you signed up for. Thank you for your interest in the SKT Revelation deck, by the way!


This is a second print run, not an edition, which means there are no substantial changes to the deck art. 

There is, however, room for improvement, and I want to improve.

- card back design
- box design
- cardstock
- color saturation of the printing
- anything specific (but insubstantial) on certain cards
- delivery logistics
- the little white booklet that comes in the box
- the companion Book of Maps guidebook you can buy in addition
- etc.

Changes to the above-listed points do not substantively change the deck itself. So that's where you come in right now. =)

I'd like to hear your input, especially if you've got a first print run version of the deck. I like to gather information, especially what the collective is thinking, and then think on that for a while as I figure out what points can be improved in this second print run.

I apologize in advance for not being able to reply to your reply, but please know that I read your comments and I consider it very, very seriously. I consider it alongside everyone's input, weigh them, and really think about what would be in the best interest of the deck itself. So please do not hesitate to be honest.

For example, the color saturation in the first print run was rather on the lighter side, but should I increase the saturation (color intensity) for this second print run? And if yes, by how much? Or maybe no, keep it the same? See, personally I really liked (or maybe at least got quite used to) the lighter, subtle tones. But that doesn't mean I'm resistant to change. =) Especially if you make some compelling points, right? =)

Oh!-- one area that I can and do make "substantive" changes to would be the Book of Maps. Is there content I'm missing that should be part of the guidebook or additional materials that come with the SKT? When you worked with the deck this past year, did any points of confusion come up that I could clarify in the guidebook? Just anything at all you can think of that I should know about.

Anyway, yeah, this is just me gathering info. So if you have any thoughts or input you'd like to share on your vision of the SKT Revelation second printing, please reply to this e-mail and share it. Only I will get the replies, and while I apologize for not being able to reply, I definitely read, and will read everything before I get started on the second print run.
