We are organizing the workshop "From chaos to Skosmos: publishing controlled vocabularies made easy" at the SWIB25 online conference on Monday Nov 17th (08:00–11:00 UTC)!

In the workshop, participants will receive an introduction to SKOS vocabularies and learn about various vocabulary services, including Finto.fi. Current Skosmos users will showcase their systems and share their experiences, offering valuable insights into practical applications. The workshop will allow participants to share ideas and discuss with Skosmos developers. Attendees will also be updated on the upcoming Skosmos 3.0 release. The intended audience are people working with vocabulary services and knowledge organization systems (e.g. thesauri, classifications, or ontologies).

Further details are on the workshop web page: https://forum.swib.org/t/from-chaos-to-skosmos-publishing-controlled-vocabularies-made-easy/1454

You can sign up for the workshop by registering a user account on the SWIB Forum and clicking "Going" on the workshop page linked above. See the detailed instructions at https://forum.swib.org/t/swib25-registration/1460.

We welcome current Skosmos users as well as those who would be interested in taking Skosmos into use. If you are interested in presenting your own Skosmos use case, even briefly, you are welcome to contact the workshop organizers!

Hi all,

we had a very nice Skosmos workshop at SWIB25! There were several presentations about different use cases and installations of Skosmos.

The materials (slides and recordings) of the Skosmos workshop at SWIB25 are available through the workshop web page: https://forum.swib.org/t/from-chaos-to-skosmos-publishing-controlled-vocabularies-made-easy/1454

There is also a YouTube playlist that contains all the recordings: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cM5u-7-dTC0&list=PL7fMsenbLiQ2mIN52N-Vt7wegJOdVK_Mf

Best,
