conversion of fvu file in to xls file

Can we convert FVU file into Xls file. if there is any software ,

Dear Shri Jayanth,

It is very simple:

Just open the file in excel.
Either it will open as it is or it may ask for coversion.
in case one select all the rows in columm "A" only.
Select from toolbar "Data" > "Convert text to column"
in the window that appears select the option "Delimited" and press "next" button.
In the next window click on the square to the left of the option "Othre:' Now the cursor will move to the big squere to the right of "Other". In this press "shift + 6" which will give "^".
Now u will see that data at bottom is split.
Just click on "finish" button and your job is done.
If in the begining itself the excel may get into "convert text to column" in which case do as explained above.

while downloading 2nd qtr software , wrongly it was overwrite in in
another folder hence data get erased. now i have only FVU file.

Hi,

I have a query on E-Filing of Income Tax return. If you can refer to
Schedule 24 - TDS. Column 7 requires us to fill "Date of Credit / Payment".
Now suppose I have received consolidated TDS certificate which has 12
different entries for 12 months.

My question is, Am I suppose to fill the details as consolidated amount of
12 months OR 12 different items individually for the same certificate while
filing the e-return. Client has made 12 payments so NSDL has 12 different
records in their file. If we have to write individual entries for each
certificate, it will become cumbersome for large companies.

Please give your opinion as to what details should be filled in.

 The pan no entered is correct and we have confirmed the same through incometax site.
