I fully agree with the views of Mr. Mohan, Paresh and D. J. Shah for a united stand against ICICI Bank to ensure that this bank stops exploiting its customers.
 
On 17th July'08, I received the following mail from their Customer Care confirming that my account was already credited with One Payment of Rs. 2,650/- and was also being credited with another payment of Rs. 2,650/- .Later there is no reference to the second payment of Rs. 2,650/- though ICICI Bank had received it on 20th June'08.

    Never give away your card details or account details in response to mails that offer free gifts or lottery winnings.

1.    Why the customer should chase ICICI Bank to get credit to its account?

2.    Is it not the responsibility of ICICI Bank to give credit on realising the value of Intruments?

3.    On default by customers, ICICI Bank claims Late Payment Fee, Astronomical Interest and any other possible charges under the sky. When ICICI Bank is at fault, it should compensate its customers for causing Harrasment, Torture and Mental Agony.

I like to inform that nobody will bother to look at the complain of customer in ICICI bank. This is the hopeless bank I have everseen in my life. I have also faced many problems and there is no one listen and whenever we ask for the number of responsible office they immediately pls talk to customer care or write to customer care and in customer care all the staff is uneducated and without mind. They do not understand our problem and unnecessary and willingly flustrate us so we stop making phone calls to them. Now I have decided to stop dealing with this rubbish bank and ask all the friends and relatives to stop dealing with this bank in order to live peaceful life. What I suggest in future onwards stop dealing this rubbish bank I wish you to spread this message to all our friends and relatives.

                    Absolutely right. This is not only one case. I had seen one case of  Dividend acccount was opened by State Bnk of India  and also Vijaya Bank to contravene the provisions of companies act section 205. Late payment of Dividend.
 State bank of India and also Reserve Bank of India doing nothing ?? Statting  that GO TO SEBI???
Openeing illegal account does not come under purview of R B I which has the controlling power / authority to even cancel the Banking Licence??  NOthing doing??
             I have tried to do soething for the members for all such issues arisin from the attitude  and all other issues with I C I C I Bank. To y mind , if I am not mistaken, I C I C I Bank had been introduced by our Institute and BaNK ALSO made special offer to C A Members. This thing to be reported to our Institute also.

In my opinion, the Regulator Bank must initiate action against ICICI Bank for denying their customers a fair treatment.
 
After all the protests, exchange of unpleasant mails, letters, telephonic discussions, escalation of grievances to ICICI Bank or to Ombudsman a rectification of error by Bank is the only remedy for its customers. There is no consideration for the humilation, harrasment, torture and mental agony caused to the customers by ICICI Bank and their Unprofessional Executives.
 
On default by a customer, ICICI Bank claims Late Payment Fee, Arbitrary Interest on defaulted amount or any other possible charges under the sky.
 
Similarly when ICICI Bank is at fault, it must compensate (within a stipulated period) its customers by paying Twice the Charges and Interest, it claims from its customers. In turn the Bank can debit this amount to the account of defaulting Executive. This will make them more accountable and bring discipline in the entire system.

This is the standard mail every time the Bank sends.  This will be effected in the next statement. etc.... Many times i experienced the problem.

I have been seeing these e-mails on ICICI Bank and I am sure that everyone would have some unpleasant story to tell about ICICI Bank. If we are so fed up with the horrible services being provided by a Bank and then are we doing something to stop. Have we stopped dealing with ICICI Bank or have we recommended to the Organizations or to individuals to stop dealing with ICICI Bank??? I would say no one would have done anything but we still continue to send e-mails.
 
Why can't we send a collective letter to RBI Informing then how a bank like ICICI deals with the customers and plays with there hard earn money??? We should also send cc of the same to the Mr.Kamath and to all the major National and Local newspaper so that the common man should know what a horrible bank is this ICICI Bank.
 
Before it is too late let us do something in the best interest of a common man.

The unprofessional conduct, harassment, torture from ICICI Bank appear to be their regular activity and they probably know that Regulator Bank will not take action against them. The failure of ICICI Bank to act at different levels as per their Escalation Matrix is ONLY a compliance of the rules of Regulator Bank of the country.
 
I look forward to the views and suggestions on the following from the members:-

I know there are many many instances of ICICI Bank harassing the customers/public and only if you take up at the highest level they so something. I can narrate an incident in which I was threatened with legal action/criminal complaint for not paying "Loan instalement" which I never availed from ICICI. When I sent the Legal notice to the Chairman the Regional head of ICICI called on me with a chocoalte box to apologise for the "system failure"
I would like some one to collect all such incidence from our own professional brothers/sisters and forward it to both RBI and also ICAI.
