BALKAN MUSIC NIGHT
Concert, 7:00 PM and Balkan folk dance party, 9:00 PM–2:30 AM
Skordalia will be playing upstairs. Time to be announced later.
Balkan Music Night presents a concert and five-hour folk dance party
featuring more than
twenty Balkan bands and choruses from the Greater Boston area and
beyond. Previous
dance experience is not necessary. Basic dances are taught during the
first half hour of
the party; many of the other dances can be followed. Refreshments are
provided by area
restaurants, bakeries, and ethnic markets. Also featured is the
“kefana,” a softly lit, more
intimate space for enjoying acoustic music.
