When I roll back to v6.7.0 it prints fine with no alerts. This is happening across every HP printer model I've tried the v7.0.1 driver on (We run over a dozen different HP printer models)
I tried re-downloading the driver installer direct from HP, the issue continues.

Security gets tighter with every revision of just about all software. In terms of printers, some older models will reach a point where they will not be able to meet current requirements. The 4200 is likely close if you are still using the original 610 or 615 jet direct card.

My instinct here is that there is something not 1:1 between KiCad and your printer driver (or the driver and your printer). Does the same driver work with a different 1:1 output from inkscape or similar? Also, in KiCad, is the PDF from Print or Plot?

Laser printers will not print a true 1:1 scale without adjusting scaling factors (at least none that I am aware of) and even then factors such as temperature and humidity can distort the size and aspect ratio of the image (assuming its printed on standard bond paper) as the day progresses. Paper is not a stable medium if dimensional accuracy is important.

Hello, I have encountered the same issue with my project as well. I am using Linux Mint. I exported the PDF of my PCB to check its dimensions before sending it for fabrication, I was shocked to see that the PCB dimensions are not matching up with the dimensions i set in PCB Editor. I exported the PDF in 1:1 ratio and my printer is also set on 1:1 ratio. The exported PDF dimensions are off by 3mm, next I switched to Windows 10 and exported the PDF, here it is giving correct dimensions.

Hi. I just got a new SSD for my computer as the last one died. I tried to install the Canon MF217w with the drivers on the Canon website. The first being this => UFR II Printer Driver - V21.20, Fax Driver - V10.10 (MF217w/MF216n), ScanGear - V11.3, I followed the instructions, left the printer unplugged from the computer until done installing the driver. I am using Windows 10 and the printer is ImageClass MF217w. I'm sure of the MAC and build.

I installed the driver, the toolkit restarted the computer. The toolbox was "not connected to a scanner". But my MF217w is connected to the computer with USB cable. I downloaded the patch and executed it. Tried the toolbox again and it still says
" A supported scanner is not installed. Please install a supported scanner, and then restart toolbox".
