Taiwan Provides Annual Funding to Support Education Development in St. Kitts and Nevis
Ambassador Edward Lin-Wen Tao and Third Secretary Ms. Kate Wei met with Hon. Konris G. M. Maynard and Permanent Secretary of Education Ms. Lisa Pistana to formally hand over the annual funding for the Bilateral Human Resource Development Cooperation Project.
On behalf of the Ministry of Education, Minister Maynard conveyed appreciation to the Government of the Republic of China (Taiwan) for its longstanding and meaningful support toward the educational development of the Federation. The funding will be allocated to scholarships and assistance for more than a hundred vulnerable students, as well as incentives recognizing outstanding teachers throughout St. Kitts and Nevis.
Ambassador Tao reaffirmed Taiwan’s continued commitment to advancing educational cooperation with the Federation. He expressed confidence that the beneficiary students will pursue their studies diligently and contribute positively to the country’s future.
