St. Kitts and Nevis (WINN)—Nationals of Saint Kitts and Nevis at home and abroad have up to Thursday, April 30, to send in submissions for the Independence Theme Competition.
Cabinet Secretary Dr Marcus Natta explained the entry criteria for those interested in crafting a message for the upcoming 43rd anniversary in September 2026.
“We want the theme to be six to eight words, and it should be a reflection of what you envision for St. Kitts and Nevis. What would you like to see St. Kitts and Nevis be? It should capture our culture, you know, the essence of St. Kitts and Nevis as a whole and of course, you know, you want it to be catchy, you know, nice for young students to hold on to, remember and recite easily. Again, it’s open to all citizens of St. Kitts and Nevis, whether you’re here in St. Kitts and Nevis or you’re abroad, you’re a Kittitan and Nevisian, wherever you are, you are able to submit, you know, there’s a QR code you can scan, it’s an online form, you fill that out, it takes you less than a minute and you make your submission and you can submit more than one, so you can make a submission, log out, go back in, make another submission as the case may be.”
The winner will receive EC$1,000 in cash and will be expected to participate in select Independence 43 activities.
Submissions must include full name, address, and contact number through the Official Google Form shared on social media.
