We identified a couple of issues in the latest stable release that were causing some disruption, so we're releasing a patch update to correct those. We're routinely making significant changes to Construct to add the things people ask for and fix the bugs people report, and sometimes accidents happen, and in this case the issues also proved difficult to track down. Apologies for the inconvenience, but the two fixes in this release should help make sure things are working smoothly for most people.
The numbers refer to the version of Construct 2 you are using ( ). This is simply just Scirra's way of versioning the software. There are stable releases and beta releases. Scirra releases a beta version first to work out all of the bugs then they release a stable version. You should use the stable release as the beta releases might be a bit unstable. On that note, I always download the beta releases and I have never had a problem. However, it is advisable to use the stable releases.
Custom browser
Choose any executable file on disk to be launched for previewing when the Preview browser is set to Custom. For example, you may want to install a pre-release (beta) browser alongside the stable release, and have the option to also preview in the pre-release browser. Alternatively, Construct 2 sometimes cannot detect the traditional browsers even when they are installed, so you can manually specify a browser here.

Crosswalk 23 is our last stable release. After that we will no longer fix specific bugs but will leave the source code and binaries available for Crosswalk users to continue building applications. We welcome help from the Crosswalk community and would not discourage anybody willing to maintain the project.
Each release cycle is about 6 weeks, incorporating the latest release of Chromium and Blink along with other features and APIs ready at the time. New releases are labeled "Canary" (potentially unstable and higher risk). After validation, a level of quality is reached and the version is labeled "Beta". With further testing it becomes "Stable".
I have been using construct 3 for like 12months now.. i can say that this software made it easy for me to transition into games developments as per being a newbie who just came into it.. Just start it like 12 months ago i have made really considerable and great achievements in games development.., i have gone ahead in my skills' and things i could achieve in my games unlike my peers who have been using other software for like 1 year earlier than me...One of the things that made this quick and stable transition possible was its very easy and simple user interface.. the user experience in itself was fun.. the user interface does not looks so rigid and complicated unlike other software's.. it uses basic and simple english to point pout any features..The inbuilt game editor made it easy for me to make very good physics simulation and easy in game difficulty level constructions.
