Using the Outliner menu crashes SU

to Sketchup for Woodworkers
Using a 15" MacBook Pro running OS X 10.11.6 El Capitan. I can often hide one group, but any clicking on the ghosted item to unhide causes Sketchbook to quit.
Anyone else having this problem or know of a fix. I am told I have the latest version of Sketchup.
