to Sketchup for Woodworkers

Hi, I'm looking to do some modeling of IKEA / Flat-pack furniture.
I've been reading up on sketchup and watching Matthias Wandel's videos on the subject https://woodgears.ca/sketchup/index.html

However one question I haven't been able to answer myself is what's the usual practice for modeling fasteners.
There's many videos on how to model a screw, but I'm asking about when you've modeled, say a chair or table, and there are places where you need some fasteners, say a set of screws to hold the top to the apron.

You'd model the holes as they should be drilled, naturally, but would it is standard practice to:

  • Model the screws including the threads?
  • Have a basic shape representing the screws?
  • Have no screws in the model?

I've found some packages for SKUP, such as https://extensions.sketchup.com/en/content/ep-fasteners-threaded-holes,

But I'd like to hear what your practices are and what level of detail you would use when modeling.
