Google App Engine compatibility

I am very interested in creating a version of Skeletonz that is
compatible with GAE. Recognizing that the db store is going to be the
biggest hinderance, I will be setting up Skeletonz to use an external
MySQL database.

Before I embark on this - is there anyone else that is already working
on something like this, or anyone that I should be working with.
