to Skeletonz CMS
Hi, I just discovered this CMS, installed it and set of a website.

Now having went through the old mailing list posts I discover it is
dead. Is there a CMS you recommend instead?

I was thinking of adding some features to the existing code of
Skeletonz, as far as I can see you cannot host multiple sites on one
installation I think it would be very useful to have this feature. I
guess it is too late to check in such a change?

hello.
as you understand, skeletonz is no longer actively developed, but the 1.0 release is stable and can be used in production environment.

If you want to maintain a "pythonic" environment, you can use Plone, even though this is far more complex, heavy and powerful than skeletonz. There is also another CMS, PyLucid, which is based on the Django framework (I've never tested this CMS, so I cannot give you advice about it).

The feature of which you're talking would be really interesting, even if I do not know if you will manage to find developers!
I'd really like to collaborate, but I do not think that I am capable...

Bye,
Matteo

I find plone a bit of a monster, normally I have been rolling my own CMS for different projects using cherrypy.
I have been working on one recently that I could reuse, but after finding Skeletonz I think it would be easier to modify it to meet my requirements.
I don't guarantee I will do it, but if I find the time I will give it a go.

I will keep you updated.
