it's a feature, not a bug... just look a the first line of the gcode.
it should clearly say ****** make sure z is set to 20 ********

for us it's been more common to have problems with the test extrusion
(and you can't cancel without build fail), so it's less buggy to print
this way. plus then you can keep the nozzle warm without worrying
about eating a hole in the acrylic if you left it that low.

a makerbot being able to construct itself is a feature, being able to
destruct itself is a bug. :-)

Ah, I haven't had that happen yet. Granted, head crashes on a
makerbot aren't also aren't as severe/dangerous as tool crashes on a CNC
mill. They're annoying and time consuming at worst, it's not like I'm
snapping end mills or cutting into the table.
