If you do change the name SkeinFox will be unable to find it and will recreate a new ~/.skeinforge directory with a new set of templates. For MakerBot we don't even use the latest version of skeinforge on Enrique's site, so I'm hesitant to provide a custom location for the .skeinforge directory that may not be forward compatible.
