Your calendars are no doubt marked for the next Skarven RUG meeting (and if they're not please click here to sign up for the Skarven RUG Google Calendar).

How does everyone feel about doing a code kata?  We can look into and choose something from Dave Thomas' original katas.  Then we can break out into solos/pairs/small groups and work through a solution.  We can also eat pizza.  There's really no downside.

Neutral on code kata. I haven't gone through them systematically, but
I have the (maybe unfair) sense that they tend to be well-known and
much discussed problems. I may well be wrong about that.

But I'll try to come anyway, for the pizza :-) (Just kidding.) Only
issue is that I have something like a 7:00 AM plane the next morning,
which may be a deterrent from going out in the evening but I'm not
sure.

But what could be more romantic than an evening of pizza and Ruby
discussion at your workplace?! :-)

To address David's concerns, the Daily WTF now has something called the Programming Praxis.  The problems discussed in this burgeoning series could serve us just as well for a code kata:

I fear I'm not going to make it. I've got a very early flight
tomorrow, and I'm still way jet-lagged from the UK (went to sleep for
the night at about 7 last night). So doing anything in the evening
right now is kind of daunting.
