Kinect not connecting

Hi,

My Kinect sensor is not recognised in the application.
The error in the right uppercorner is: Sensor unavailable

I`m using latest version 1.7 and I downloaded the latest version of Microsoft SDK.
My laptop is 2 days old so I shouldn`t have outdated drivers.
 
This is my logfile.
At the bottom there is an error wich sais that the Kinect is not powered, This is not true.
I appreciate any advice.

Hi Vivek,

Do the Kinect SDK samples work fine? This message suggests that the Kinect is not being powered (the USB cable itself is not enough), can you double check that the power plug is correctly connected too? Sometimes this can also happen with broken cables/adaptors, I would also suggest trying with another one if you can get one.

Hi,

I am a new Kinect user. I bought a Kinect V2 sensor. I also have a Kinect sensor for xbox 360 that I borrowed from my friend. So far, I have downloaded and installed Kinect SDK 2.0, NI Mate (after disabling driver signature). I currently run Windows 10 (64-bit). The problem I am facing is that when I open Skanect software, it doesn't detect the kinect sensor. It says "Structure Sensor. Waiting for Uplink...". Can you please help me out here? 

I have been reading that skanect still is not compatible with Kinect V2, and neither did Microsoft release the 3D scan app for Windows 10. I am just growing restless for not being able to do anything inspite of having 2 kinect sensors :(

PS: I am using Kscan3D for now, and it isn't a great software.

Actually never mind. It works fine now.  I uninstalled SDK 2.0 and installed SDK 1.8.
