Hello,

I've done a search and it seems like a lot of people have this issue. However the solution universally seems to be "Make sure all 4 parts show up in Device manager"

So I've installed Kinect 1.8 on my machine.  I have the sensor plugged into a USB 2.0 port.  It seems to be working just fine.  All 4 components show up.  When I move it back to my xbox 360 it works great there.

When I launch Skanect 1.11 it shows sensor unavailable.

Is there anything else I can try or need to configure?  I notice the kinect is removed as supported on the download page.  Would an older version of skanect have better compatibility?  If so what version?

I just upgraded to 1.11. it took about 15 seconds for me to connect to my xbox 360 kinect, but works great.   please make sure your nvidia drivers are updated.

possibly uninstall/reinstall the SDK 1.8 which will reinitalize drivers, or test in another usb port. preferrable a 3.0 port. it should take about 30 seconds to find it when docked. please make sure to connect the device BEFORE opening Skanect.
