Hi Tobby,

Great job on the high quality resolution. How were you able to achieve that quality level? Did you use special settings? Is there a specific lighting environment that helps? I also have the xbox 360 Kinect camera. However, my first couple scans are not looking good enough.

Thank you for your time.

Mark

The PC i am using is a Core i7 processor with 16gb ram, i am using an nVidia GTX970 video card, and xbox 360 kinect.
The Gentleman is standing on a turntable that i built off of plans that are on the internet.  Scanotron 2.0

The lighting is overhead fluorescent lighting simular to a warehouse lighting setting. The initial scan was scanned in HIGH, setting
I actually do pull a cord on the clothes line pulleys to pull the camera up and down the track to scan with. Its not to terribly high tech. I would have motorized the up/down rig but with scanning cosplayers, the geometry is totally different from person to person.

Here are the difference when scanned High and reconstructed as Very High.  These are the same scan in 2015. the one on the left is the original, and the one on the right is a reconstruction. Notice when you view the pictures full screen, the texture of the N in the Captain Nemo, and the amount of polygons in the lower right corner.. Yes this happens to be the same guy. and these scans are untouched.no fill, etc..
