I recently downloaded Skanect, and i'm thinking of buying the full version in order to benefit from the exporting, and 3d printing options. However I don't have a Nvidia graphics card, or a compatible graphics card, i'm wondering if its possible to scan only using CPU processing. I've tried using the CPU Recording Feedback option but to no avail. My scanner is the original Kinect (which works) is there a certain setting i should be using, or is it even possible to scan without GPU, if possible can someone please contact me, with suggestion for successful troubleshooting so i can begin scanning please, Thank You.

I have scanned on my laptop with CPU only.
Make sure you have the Microsoft Kinect SDK 1.8 installed, and check the Device Manager to see if all 5 devices come up.
you can test with the sdk to be sure
When loading Skanect, it will populate and leave the GPU as not available if it is something like an Intel chipset (my laptop is)
When scanning, lower than 10fps or below will cause issues.  you MAY have to scan at Medium, like i had to do, then do an offline reconstruction in High fidelity

Hope this helps.
