Skagway's Christmas Bird Count starts tomorrow with the beginning of the count week!  

Make a note of any uncommon birds you see starting Wednesday morning. If they aren't seen on count day (Saturday) we'll be able to record them as "count week" birds.

Later today I'll put printed data sheets and other info out for pickup in a blue box on the front porch of the Chilkoot-Gateway Insurance building (251 State Street, near 3rd Ave - red roof with wood post front porch).

All are welcome to the winter birds review on Thursday 5-7pm at the library, not just for CBC participants!   But we'll also quickly go over the CBC info and I'll bring the blue box so you can pick up data sheets there if you like.

If you know you'd like to watch a feeder or go out with a group on Saturday, please look over the info at CBC sign-up page and let us know what you want to do.  The sooner we have an idea of what will be covered, the better.  But last-minute participants will also be welcome!
