Gary Heger reported that he has been seeing a pair of Eurasian Collared-Doves around his place for quite a few weeks.  There is an eBird report of 1 EUCD seen mid-town on 21 June this year.

The last time we had bird club report of any  EUCD was in 2021.  That was after a run of several years of them making it through the winter and reproducing here in the summer.

eBird has 2 records of EUCD being seen in Skagway in 2023 (one suspiciously of 20 birds), and zero EUCD for 2022, 2024 and 2025.

If you any Collared-Doves, let us know.

I saw a pigeon at 7 pastures today. I was surprised, haven't seen 1 before today. Do they live here?

As far as we know, they are occasional "visitors" that have yet to make it through the winter.  Like the Collared-Doves, we try to keep tabs on them, so your report is much appreciated.

This Rock Pigeon has also been hanging out in midtown. I’ve seen it several times around the Belisle chicken coop.
