Here are a couple of recent reports with photos.  You can view larger versions of the photos in our 2024 web album.

20july2024 - this juvenile duck, probably a Northern Pintail, was seen at the beaver pond on the lower Chilkoot Trail by Annie Matsov.  It was right below the boardwalk and froze motionless as Annie and her group walked by.

20july2024 - this Dark-eyed Junco built a nest in the cover on the back side of a tool stand on our porch.  We walk by the front side many times a day.  Last week I noticed the junco hopping near by and peeked around back to see this nest tucked in with 4 cute greenish-blue eggs with brown spattered on their large ends.
