Hi,

Our cover crop program is now live! Skagit CD has received funding from multiple sources this year and is taking applications from eligible producers looking to plant cover crops this fall. There are no minimum acreage requirements. Seed costs will be capped at $6,000 per producer. No brassicas or cash crops can be purchased through this program. Seeds must be planted by October 31st and terminated no later than June 1st. If you think you might have bare soil going into the winter please contact Skagit CD ASAP to enroll in our program. Help our community reduce erosion and topsoil loss while improving soil health and production!

If you are interested in cover cropping this fall please visit this link to complete the first step toward Skagit CD covering seed costs for your operation. Once you complete your application a SCD Planner will review your information and get in contact. If you have any further questions reach out to Ryan Gelwicks at Ry...@skagitcd.org. Or give me a phone call at 360-899-8107

If you are interested in this opportunity please reach out directly. Avoid using the "reply all" button as the email will be sent to the entire group.

Thanks,

Ryan Gelwicks
