This course covers a variety of topics ranging from equipment and bee biology to colony management and honey harvesting. Instructor, Dawn Beck, who is a Cornell University Master Beekeeper and SVBA Vice President, has many years of experience beekeeping in Western Washington. Whether students are new to the hobby or have some experience, the expertise and insights presented during this class will help make them better beekeepers.
This two-day class will be presented via Zoom on Saturday, 3/1, and Sunday, 3/2, from 8 am to 12 pm each day. The cost is $65.00 per person, and upon completion, participants will have the opportunity to pursue certificates at both the Beginner and Apprentice levels of the Washington State Beekeepers Association (WASBA) beekeeping curriculum, if desired. WASBA certification is optional and requires additional fees not included in the cost of this class.
