Congratulations to the Connecticut Accordion Association on the
celebration of their 5th year anniversary! Its seem like only yesterday
that I went to the very first meeting at the restaurant in Cheshire, CT.
They have come a long way from that first day til now. The party was
held on Sunday, June 28th at the same place where it all started. Anita
and Bob Siarkowski of Southington, CT. kicked off the fun with an
accordion duet. Linda Reed, President of the American Accordion
Association was also there along with world accordion champions Julie
Cardona of Southington and her sister Mary Tokarski of Northford, CT.
This event was also a good way to observe June, which was National
Accordion Awareness Month. The Connecticut club is dedicated to the
promotion of the accordion through all music genres and variations of
the instrument. Its open to the public and all are welcome to attend the
meetings for a fun filled afternoon of camaraderie and entertainment.
Meetings are held once a month on a Sunday afternoon. To find out more
please call my good friend Marilyn O' Neil in Cheshire, CT. at
203-272-1202 or visit their Website at www.ctaccordion.com on the
Internet. I hope to see you all at the next meeting of the Connecticut
Accordion Association. Thank You! From, TOM COSS of Meriden, Connecticut
