This is off topic but I had to respond to your criticism of his website.

I've been doing web programming for 5 years now and I can honestly and
unequivocably say that HTML sucks. IT IS CRAP. It won't let you do real
design and won't work the same in every browser. Same with Javascript and
CSS. So I have great empathy for anyone that tries to get around this by
using flash, applets or even (god forbid) activex. Once you've designed
applications in Java, VB or a real language that allows you to control the
layout, web pages are very tedious. I can't wait for something to replace
HTML and the rest of the client side mess that has become the status quo for
design on the web.

HTML was never designed with page layout in mind. It was meant as a
very basic system to allow information to be displayed in a
consistent and simple manner.

Exactly. There is also a problem what do webmasters want. Web page should
not look as author wants. It should look as user wants and sets his browers
up. Page should be set up to present some informations not to look
everywhere like the same. Use pictures for that..

If you want something more progressive, use XHTML.

Exactly. Which is why I hate that it is used for a medium in design and
software development. The same goes with the HTTP protocol. HTML sucks.
