Dion's replacement due to sanity conditions is none other thant Michael
Ignatieff, Iggy for short.
Iggy came out with fighting words tonight. Saying: Harper will tow the
Liberal/NDP $30 million dollar spending spree budget on taxpayers backs or
he will proceed with the coalition! Harper will comply or else.
Sounds like round two to me. Boy, the Liberals smucks are being NDP sock
pupets on this. All because GM-CAW want to bilk Canadian tax payers to pay
GM's US based bank forclosure pending debt. Sounds like extortion since you
could buy GM outright for $2.5 billion. Don't these brainless socialsits
give up?
Funny. Iggy does not get it. Harper has him by the shorts and he had
better learn to dance.
I wonder if Iggy has ties to the Russian maffia? Canada certianly will need
loans after Iggy/Layton finish raiding the coffers. Lets hope Harper has
anice surprize for them.
Course the hilarious thing is that the US Congress has only indicated
that the Auto industry are only getting $15 billion, less than half they
asked for. So I guess CAW will want retraining money so Cdn auto
workers can start making dinky toys!
Not only that, the conditions. Plus it still hasn't passed, which is still
in question.
I am sure you and I will be forced to pay for it. Part of why the NDP are
so hot on this coalition I suspect is that CAW wants to let GM bilk us for
$6.8 billion. Because "Buzz" says so. Enough to bribe Bloc for votes with
out own money.
I would rather put it to a vote. Nice and democratic like. None of this
screwing with parlimentry democrasy crap the Liberals are toying with. Just
put it on the ballot, "GM Bailout: Yes/No" and let the people decide.
Sure, and how about the same thing for the Coastal forest industry here in
British Columbia.
Trouble is, it's now a bit late for that.

Ignatieff can take over the reigns of government perfectly legally at
any time he wants. Granted Michaëlla Jean might call an election, and
who knows what will happen then. Harper is now exposed as a liar. The
opposition parties are now perceived as more powerful than Harper.
Harper would have more money, but has already had his turn and failed.
Harper could say "Give me a majority to end the wrangling. Let me be
dictator so I can put all homos in my private torture dungeons, start
two new wars ...." There are people who voted for Harper who do not
trust him with a majority.
Notice Mr. Harper's much more conciliatory tone two nights ago. I
suspect Dion put the fear of a coalition into him so that he is
smartening up and governing with the mandate he is given, not the one
he wished he had.
I suspect that there will be no election, no takeover. The people
don't want it and will punish whomever it appears foisted it on them.
Instead there will be a compromise where both sides get to save face
and breast beat to their supporters about their decisive victory.

PM Steven Harper is fixated on the costs of implementing Kyoto, estimated as high as 1% of GDP.
However, he refuses to consider the costs of not implementing Kyoto which the
famous economist Nicholas Stern estimated at 5 to 20% of GDP
