Metrolinx has announced a series of public open house meetings
regarding changes on the GO Transit Georgetown South corridor and

FOLLOWUP: BEER STORE ROBBERY AND POLICE SHOOTING

On Saturday evening there was a robbery at The Beer Store on Symington
Ave., which lead to a police chase, shooting, and a police car being
hit by a train. Thankfully nobody was seriously injured, and both
suspects were apprehended.

Full details of the incident, including police and media reports, are
linked from our website:
http://www.southjunctiontriangle.ca/node/189

A followup meeting is being planned to bring together all three levels
of government, police, and local residents to address this incident
and crime issues in general. We will keep you posted with details as
they come in.

SKATING AT CAMPBELL PARK

Skating season is in full-swing at Campbell Park. Most of the ice
time is dedicated to hockey/shinny use, but there are three hours of
weekly pleasure skating available too (Saturdays from 11am until noon,
and 4pm-6pm).

One of the highlights of the Saturday afternoon pleasure skate is the
campfire with free hot chocolate and freshly cooked donuts! What a
great way to spend a few hours on a Saturday.

More information about Campbell Park's rink schedule is available on
the City Rinks website:
