Hey Everyone!

Thank you so much for helping me out with this!

Here is the process for students who are interested (this is on the flyer too):

1. Come into LARC to sign up for the preliminary interview (have in mind the courses and subjects that you are interested in tutoring)----takes place over summer
2. Attend 3 sessions that will prepare you for the hiring interview---takes place at the beginning of the semester
3. THEN complete the tutor application (found at www.sjsu.edu/larc) **includes letters of rec**---takes place at the beginning of the semester
4. Schedule the hiring interview with Karin, the Tutorial Coordinator---takes place at the beginning of the semester

The flyer also contains the minimum requirements to be a tutor.

1. Be an enrolled full-time student at SJSU while employed at LARC
2. have a minimum 3.0 GPA overall OR a 3.0 GPA for the two consecutive semesters prior to applying
3. At least a "B" in each course you wish to tutor

If you have any questions, feel free to either contact LARC (408.924.2587) or Karin (408.924.3346).

Thanks again!
