I tried using several ways to find out the public IP of my machine.
1.using ipconfig/all retrieves all the data related to all the adapters but I couldn't find the public IP.
2. using wireshark capture for any request which is sent out from my machine, it still displays only the private IP of my machine.

One way I read is to do a capture outside of NAT to get our public IP.
is this approach correct or is there a better way to find out our public IP?
I don't know how to capture outside of NAT.

thanks

Unless you do wireshark on your router, I don't think you can easily capture outside NAT.  But, the receiver of your traffic can tell you what's your public ip address.  That's "whatismyip.com" do.
