Hi all,

I'll email the text files in zip format out tonight.  The zip will include a main program (.cpp), an ip address file (.txt) and a test instruction (.doc).  Please download and have it on your machine.  I'll not distribute anything else like USB or paper.

There are two identical ip address files.  You can use either one as your input.  One file has the ip format as 234.201.157.163  The other file has the ip address format as 234201157163 (i.e. the previous content without the dot).  They have identical content.

I strongly recommend that you get your parser done ahead of the test.

I believe he meant the parsing algorithm--as in converting the 1.2.3.4 or 234201157163 format into usable data--and perhaps writing a function to read that data in from the file in order to perform operations on it. I believe the idea is that he's telling us the form of the data so that we can worry on the concept in class, rather than worrying about how we're going to capture data from the file. I believe that he said the password will be distributed in class so that we can all begin at the same time.
