Faculty meeting 1/25/10

• Rose, Kristin and Yvette attended
• it was really successful - lots of things changed as a result of faculty feedback
• Dr. Klaw brought up dossier items as incentives
  • e.g., formal letter with specific learning objectives
  • e.g., for induction, sending a card with the invitation that a student can give to their favorite professor.

Data Blitz

• Dr. Klaw and Dr. Hosoda recommended
• a series of quick (e.g., 15min) speeches by professors about their research.
• we would have students vote on who presents (from a list of profs who say they're interested) - the voting idea is to make any documentation more powerful for professor dossier items
• someday in March
• Yvette will invite profs, gauge interest, etc.

Brown bag lunch - JFK

• same date/time
• food will be sandwich rolls from Costco
• Sam and Rose will handle room reservations

Brown bag lunch - SJSU

• experimental - Dr. Feria's spoken with us
• waiting on other two masters programs (IO and clinical)
• Yvette will talk with professors, find out who's interested from what program
• no tentative time

Bowling night

• moved tentatively to Friday Feb 26th at 2pm
• Friday afternoons are generally better
• Apparently Ginger was able to navigate cheap/free lanes - Rose will talk to her about it
• Yvette will e-mail Sheila with tentative info to get prof approval

Induction

• confirm Del Chiaro and Jen for induction
• Rose and Sam and Kristin will do food
• Alana will do budget for food etc.
• Alana will look at formal invitations
  • invitation, prof invite cards, rsvp paper
• we're charging $3/rsvp, $5/door
• date: Apr 9th 5:30pm
• invites will be sent Feb 26th
• rsvp due March 19th
• food orders a week in advance - Kristin
• we have 5:30-8:30 ceremony, have the room 4-9:30

Movie nights

• Thursday March 18th 6:30pm
  • Dr. Dillinger, presenting Being There
  • confirmed!!
  • Sam will reserve the room, will know the times etc by Feb 3rd
    • will do fliers and distribute
• Unknown date, sometime after March 9th
  • Dr. Arias, Precious
  • dvd release is march 9th
  • kristin will e-mail Dr. Arias

New items

• now selling notebooks
• will be selling scantrons soon

Applications

• Lily will print, be out by Monday, Feb 1st.
