Here is one community service project Psi Chi might want to do. This is
called Safe and Green Halloween. This is an event where we help pass out
Halloween costumes to child that may not get one because their parents may
not be able to afford it. Please let me know if Psi Chi want to do this.

Dear Mallory,
I work with Dayana Salazar at CommUniverCity San Jose.
We are currently in the process of recruiting volunteers for our safe and
green halloween event. The event is next friday at the Martin Park, 651
Macredes Ave. I have also attached a flyer with the details for the event.
The event is a yearly event where we teach the residents of the McKinley
district on green solutions, safety and recycling. The highlight of the
event is the halloween costume distribution, we get gently used halloween
costumes donated to us which we give away to the children during the event.
Please let us know if you would be interested in working with us for this
event. You and your team can get service hours by helping us with this
event.
We will need over 30 volunteers that can help us from 9am onwards.
Event Date: Friday, Oct 22nd 2010
Location: Martin Park, (Behind Mckinley School), 651 Macredes Ave, San Jose

My name is Mallory Cooper and I am with SJSU's Psi Chi, which is the
International Honors Psychology Association. I am currently the committee
head organizing community service projects. We are looking for community
service opportunities for not only ourselves but students at SJSU that are
looking this as well. I was wondering if you had any information on ways to
get involved with our organizations that are related to psychology. Please
