Minutes for 03/10/10 - please read

These have some policy changes, so please do read them if you missed the meeting.

To do list for 03/17/10:
Rose: Spartan shop approval, turn in other SPARC paperwork, attempt to make appt with Amanda Gonzales, tell Dr. Oyamot that papers are turned in, return Dr. Klaw's sample card, talk to Shiela re: trophy
Alana: SPARC deposit
Sam: Dr. Arias Movie night room reservation, put up grad program posters

SPARC

• Rose needs to get a blank Facilities Request Form, get Spartan Shop approval for food and drink
  • sandwiches/pizza?
• Kristin left a message with Amanda Gonzales regarding a meeting with Psi Chi and Dr. Oyamot to discuss room setup details.
• Alana needs to get a check-type-thing to pay $375 to Student Union Event Services as a deposit
  • can we pay the whole 700ish in full?
• Rose will e-mail Dr. Oyamot to tell him papers are turned in.

Induction

• invitations going out today
• return Dr. Klaw's sample card
• Kristin is calling Costco to order food on April 2nd
• options: veggie platter, combo sandwich platter, fruit and cheese platter, sushi platter, sparkly liquid. Plus definitely cake
• balloons, decorations - committee
• Kristin needs help on April 9th!
  • need to pick up stuff from Costco
  • need to make sure we have balloons
  • Rose and Kristin will deal with balloons and costco
  • Sam and Yvette (and maybe others) will actually decorate that day

Bowling

• Rose will talk to Shiela re: hanging up the trophy
• better to do 1 game than 2, have food afterwards not during

Meeting attendance policy changes!

• 2 unexcused, 2 excused (means: tell us, and give us your update, and we give you an assignment) per semester. If you use your unexcused absence, you go on probation
• two assignments undone puts you on probation as well
• probation: we tell Jen. One more offense (one more unexcused absence or undone assignment) means you're removed from office and may not be allowed back into an officership.
  • Yes, we can wiggle - we understand life events can get into the way. This can be a case-by-case basis.

Movie Night:

• Kristin will double-check with Dr. Dillinger who has the movie
• Kristin will be there for sure, Sam will be there, Rose might

Data Blitz

• This should be in Webster's Hands. Need...
  • availability of profs
  • final topics
  • talk to someone (Jen) about proper format and tell the professors who haven't done it before
  • talk to Sam to get the room (need 1.5 weeks time) and posters
  • set a date/time (ideally, T/W)
• already have:
  • a list of 5 profs, want a short list of 3-4 profs based on availability

Grad program

• posters going up

Movie Night (Arias)

• Monday April 12th, 5pm
• Sam will get room

Store

• for bake sale
  • thanks for marking which were bake sale items, that helped
  • please differentiate which cookies are which
• do at least two flats of Hansens, want diet hansens!!
