Happy Fall, everyone! (Although I was just informed that it's supposed to get hot again here next week--bummer.)

I have a couple of upcoming events/appearances in October that I wanted to share with you. Please feel free to share with anyone who might be interested in attending!

1. Great Valley Bookfest, Manteca, CA, October 8, 2016

This wonderful and FREE local event is now in its 6th year, and this will be my second time participating. I will have a table all day (10am - 4pm) in Author Alley, and I will be reading from my work and presenting on Young Adult Fiction Behind the Scenes at 2:30 pm. at the Mystery! Thriller! Romance! stage. I will have books for sale (cash or check only), and Barnes and Noble will also be on hand with a selection of books. For more info, visit greatvalleybookfest.org

2. Kidlitosphere Conference, Wichita, KS, October 14 and 15, 2016

I will be presenting a breakout session at this year's Kidlitcon in Wichita, Kansas, on the topic "Beyond 140 Characters: Leveraging Social Media to Support Your Blog" with fellow blogger and friend Sheila Ruth (Wands and Worlds) as well as co-hosting a Kidlit Blogging Salon with Pam Margolis (An Unconventional Librarian). Both of those sessions are on Oct. 15. I will also be signing books as part of the Author Mix and Mingle on Oct. 14 from 4 to 6 pm. It'll be a busy month, but fun! I'm also still working hard on a new book... if you enjoy YA speculative fiction, keep an eye out for more news in the future.
