For you were called for freedom, brothers. But do not use this freedom as an opportunity for the flesh; rather, serve one another through love. For the whole law is fulfilled in one statement, namely, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” But if you go on biting and devouring one another, beware that you are not consumed by one another. – Galatians 5:13-15

 

Tuesday, July 6 – Journey Potluck Supper and Core Team Nominations, Parish Hall, 7 PM

The Journey will be electing officers for its 2010-2011 core team at its next potluck on July 6. All Journey members are invited to submit ballots for the following positions:

Fundraising Chair

Treasurer

Membership Chair

Communications Chair

Music Chair

Friday, July 9 – Movie Night at Newport Dunes, The Incredibles, 7:30 PM

Bring a beach chair and a blanket and join us at Newport Dunes to watch Pixar's The Incredibles on an outdoor inflatable screen. Carpool will leave from SJN at 7:30pm to head over to the Dunes. The movie will start at dusk. Munchies are welcome, but capes are strictly not allowed. Sunday, July 11 – Journey Sunday and Welcoming Table

 

Grab a friend, neighbor, or sibling and head over to SJN on this Journey Sunday. We'll need all hands on deck to help us “man” the welcome tables. PLUS, we'll be serving at the "Journey" Noon Mass as ushers and collectors; after Mass we'll head to a nearby restaurant for lunch. So come by anytime and stay as long as you can. Please pray for the recovery of Joyce Riley. She has been in the ER with great pain. Also pray for James Sheridan as he discerns his vocation.
