Hi !

Somebody who has done the following, pl. give the protocols to be followed.
1.I-card application
2.Payment of 5k
3.Registration with academic office.

 Go to the security office at the main building with the ID card form. Photo will be taken there and there will be someone collecting the form. Paste a recent photo in the form. The timing is 9.30 am to 6 pm on 17th July and 18th July. Please avoid wearing a blue shirt or T-shirt, else you will be send back to the hostel :)

Collection of ID card on or after 26th July.

No idea about 5K and registration....

Regarding the 5K in cash...that has to be submitted in the building called "Main Building" which is along with the Academic section. On 1st floor there is an office called "Cash Section". A DD or an "At Par" cheque of 5000 has to be submitted there in the name of Registrar,IIT Bombay.

 

For the registration with the academic section there is a form in our kit which needs to be filled and submitted along with copies of all relevant marksheet. I havent figured out where till now ....willl post as soon as I do

i don't think there is any problem with T-shirt!I myself wore a T-shirt and I faced no hassles!

It's not about whether they allow or not... But Imagine your Photo with Blue Background while you are wearing a Blue colored Shirt/T-Shirt...

It might be the case that only your face will be visible hanging in the pic if the Shirt Color and the Background color match... (LOL)..

That's the reason why Blue colored Shirt is to be avoided...

Moreover, It will look Good for an MBA Student to be wearing a Formal Shirt in the photo of his ID Card rather than a T-Shirt... (Girls have freedom in this regard)...... This is just a Personal view of mine..

and once again my pic was taken at the exact moment when i blinked

The 5K need to be submitted in Cash section 1st flloor main building
only in the form of DD, they are not accepting cheques anymore.

About the registration procedure, it will be carried out in the dept.
itself. The academic section will circulate the information in coming
days. Our faculty advisor can help us on how to go ahead with the
procedure.

I think they will accept Cheque if it is "At Par" cheque.I deposited the cheque today afternoon only.May be I got lucky :)
