So I was wondering, what Truck has the most Power, I am currently using a Scania with the Mighty Griffin Tuning Pack but it doesn't pull a lot, and feels slow and the Scania is just a tower that likes to tip over.
If we talk about Engines, then of course Volvo FH16 2012 with his 750 HP, as that Engine has the most Power and the best accelereating rate as the other Trucks BUT if we talk about Transmission then there is MAN Euro6 with his 6 Gear Transmission + Retarder at the first Place. I won the 9th Round at the TruckersMP Drag Race as 1st with this Engine/Transmission combination.
All trucks can be save-edited to use the 750 HP engine, so "Which is the most powerful one" has no answer, or the answer would be "All of them". Same with the 6 speeds transmissions, AFAIK, only the new DAF XG 2021 can't be equipped with the Allison 4500 transmission, so Volvo, Scania, Renault, other DAF models, Mercedes, Iveco or MAN can use a 6 speeds gearbox with or without retarder.
Of course, as it has been said, it's not a racing game so a 450-500 HP engine in any truck should be enough. Of course, too many people will use 8x4 chassis + 700 or higher HP engines + 12-16 speeds transmissions even if they are going to haul 3 tons cargo, only because those are the "Top of the line" options that can be chosen... And only to see how some "noob" overpowers them when the traffic light turns green with a 510 HP DAF XF hauling the same cargo
My favorite the Volvo FH16 2012. I really hope that SCS adds a feature to tune engines to get the amount of power/gear ratio needed for the types of loads pulled! Example I drive heavy haul and need more power on smaller gears. That sort of thing.
Well yeah, of course Scania has better Acceleration but you need to slow down a lot on even small turns otherwise you're going to tip over and your Truck will just die. I gave the Volvo a try and it has loads of fuel in it and doesn't tip over. This answered my question, thanks.
Ever since I got into save-editing I find myself admiring peoples save edited trucks that are out on the road. I would like to see all your guys work it can be small or big doesn't matter. If possible please provide a list of what you have done. I'll show a pic of when I first got into save-editing to now.
I sometimes do save-editing when its possible because not every truck's parts from each brands can fit with others, and.... the nextgen scania is the only one that you can do more with your ideas and creativity
I'm moving your topic to the Archive section because of your topic inactive for 2 weeks(14 days). Because every day a lot of new topics are creating and now the community wants to discuss a new discussion. We apply these procedures to keep the forum meticulously and actively in this way.
I have a question though: I usually have a friend who also plays ETS2. Can we have a common company for both players, or is there any other way to share money/trucks or even do jobs together? Is there any co-op activity that we can do (other than both agreeing just to ride on the same route, at the same time ofc). ?
Not really. There is currently no multiplayer economy in the sense of you can't share money in game. You can, however, join a VTC and complete jobs for them in which the money from the job will be split between you and the company.
Sharing trucks and money is not possible, unless you both use identical game profiles. As for setting same destinations and cargos, I can recommend you Virtual Speditor, that's how you can do same jobs.
The only possibility of having the same equalities, in Trucks - Money (etc)
It's sharing your profile folder, but if someone earns money or loses money it would not be the same. Therefore, it is impossible.
Single player is fine, but as soon as I join MP, snowing starts. I did 3 jobs each for about 300km and all this time it didn't stop snowing at all. I even turned the "rain option" all the way to lowest setting possible.
edit: Found the answer: Press tab. Right click mouse and go to options. Uncheck the seasonal effects and it will stop snowing. Mouse over to the mod tab and uncheck wintermod to remove the winter theme all together.
In the game, I wouldn't know, I follow the posted limits, never worried or even tried to go faster than 110 Km/h (and this, only in Romanian highways). In TruckersMP Simulation servers, all trucks are equally fast, 110 Km/h tops. And in Arcade servers, I wouldn't know either because I don't use it. Once, long ago, I ran a test, because people were saying that Arcade was limited at 150 Km/h and I wanted to confirm my belief of it having no speed limits. I managed to get up to 163 Km/h using a Volvo classic model, all other trucks I tried could barely reach 150 Km/h on flat surface. You could run the same test in the Arcade server and find out for yourself, a cheated profile with lots of money and XP so you can buy all trucks/models with the top upgrades and some time, that's all you'd need.
Since the truck is almost no different from a passenger car in unloaded conditions, the top engine option and the least level gears can be preferred. For example, the Volvo FH16 750 engine and the Allison 6-speed gearbox model. It gives a very good performance between 0-110.
The best way for beginners in my opinion is to start with a Volvo. Its a very powerful truck for a cheap price. Yes, DAF and others are less expensive, but the adventage is you can use this truck until the end of the game.
A easy way is to take a credit. With a good truck its very easy to pay the monthly charges.
A point to add would be that you can customise the truck to make it cheaper, i.e fitting all the cheapest parts and removing all non-mandatory parts such as a front and side view mirror and sun visors. You can buy every brand in the game in this format for less than 100k
When you are looking to buy a truck you have many options in ETS2. My personal preference is something with a lot of horse power because I do a lot of long distance drives. I also prefer Volvos because I like the dash on them.
Volvo of course. It's like driving a flying tank. Buying it with 4x2 chassis and a 750hp motor... The worst truck I have ever drive is the Renault. They are like turtles or snails. There is no way to make them better.
Don't take me wrong, I do like them, they are nice trucks but, the fact is that they are just used because of theyr 730hp and 750hp. This isn't realistic. You don't see trucks over 550hp or however not every second. If SCS adds 800hp on Renault Trucks, this will be the only truck you will see on the roads.. ridiculous.
Buying a truck is very user specific though I've only used Scania's and Volvo's due to their powerful engines and nice interiors. The Volvo's interior is decent though I prefer the Scania since you can have the nice hand stitched interior as well as it having the Mighty Griffin Tuning which applies inside and outside. Also DAF has their own tuning DLC though I haven't checked it out, if you are greatly into the asthetics of trucks DAF is also a good idea. Though I highly recommend that to everyone DO NOT BUY RENAULT THEY HAVE THE SMALLEST ENGINES IN THE GAME, sorry just had to rant
I think it'll diversify the TMP traffic and the players opportunity, the players always waiting for a new truck tuning, so I know this addition will interest the players to TMP game. I think that a lot of players will be glad to see and use this update.
One of the trucks I said "I wish it would come" I am sure that most of the players want them to come, but each truck should receive a separate document for it to arrive, which will be a very long process, maybe in the future, maybe in the years like 2025, or the TruckersMP team can surprise you and bring it all at once. after all, a team full of surprises.
This tandem trailer was a popular mod that was used a lot before the Scandinavian double trailer came into the game. However, I do not think that this will come, as there are already many double-trailers.
I doubt that TruckersMP will ever add custom vehicles that are in the game under license from the manufacturers. So IMO, unless they decided to use some of the BOT trucks that have been already released as "alternating vehicles" and give them the ability to load cargos and/or attach a second trailer, the chance to have rigids in TruckersMP can only come when/if SCS decides to add them to the game.
I know that they need a licence to realize this, but I think they already have them, because they already have the truck's licences; So I don't think this'll such a big problem to realize this. (If I understand the licences topic right...);
That's the thing, it's SCS that have the licenses, not TruckersMP. And those licenses are for specific models. In order to have rigids in TruckersMP, it's SCS that would need to get the license from the manufacturer first, add the model to the game, and then TruckersMP would only need to adapt that model the same as they have done with all others.
